The team did well to consolidate their position in the top half of the table and will thus contest the Cup Final at Kingsmeadow on September 8th. Whilst the mere 11 stalwarts did do well,think how much better it would have been if there had been even a reasonable response.

Best performance of the day was,undoubtedly,Roseanne Mackay's further advance in the Triple Jump,winning at 10m61.
Match scores - AFD 184/K&P 163/Sutton 159/Walton 90/DMV 56/RSB 11 and at the conclusion of the regular season of 3 matches the Table reads - G&G 27/AFD 25/Bracknell 23/K&P 18(488)/Sutton 18(471)/E&E 17(469) - those 6 are in the Cup Final;with the Plate finalists - HHH 17(455.5)/Walton 16/DMV 13/HW 11/F&C 10/RSB 9.
In the U13s,just 4 competed - Claudia Noakes upped her LJ to 3.90(2A) and equalled her 70mH at 13.7;Mae Thompson improved over 100 to 15.3;Layla Thompson got a PB at HJ(1.05);whilst Pippa Allcock won the HJ(1.15).
The U15s were marginally more numerous(5) - Sophie Peel(13.5) & Lucy Clacher(13.7) both won over 75H;Maddie Garner was only minimally outside her 800 best for 2007(2.36.8);Francesca Currie threw 6.77 in the SP;and Eleanor van Klaveren was just a few centimetres below her 2007 Javelin best at 19.25.
Only 2 U17 souls were there - Roseanne Mackay,as above,PB'd at Triple but also ran 51.2 over 300H and Natalie Ellis was close to her DT best at 23.10.
Here's hoping there will be a far greater response for the Cup Final…….please!
